2015 NEWS

Ellen Mason is an award winning artist. Recently, her drawing Dot Series #5 was chosen by Mark Ormond to be in the 2015 show, “Defining Abstraction” at the Selby Gallery, Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.

Drawing #39 was in the National Association of Women’s Artists annual show at the Sylvia Wald and Po Kim Art Gallery in New York City.

The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, in Tarpon Springs, Florida held the 65th Annual Symposium of the Florida Artists Group.  Ms. Masons drawing #35 was shown in the exhibit.

Exhibits and New Work

Ellen Mason has been busy exhibiting her work.  Deana Haggag, director of  The  Contemporary in Baltimore, Maryland accepted her work into the juried Silvermine Group show in August.

The Whistler House Museum in Lowell, MA exhibited Drawing # 31 in their Current Vision Show.

Dot Drawing #1, part of her new series of drawings will be exhibited in September at The Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Art Gallery in NYC.

Petticoat Painters, one of the oldest continuously operating women’s art groups in the U.S., recently accepted her as a member.

NAWA Exhibitions – New York, Boca Raton

Ellen Mason, who was recently accepted into the National Association of Women Artists will participate in two shows Of the organization. (NAWA)

Drawing # 24 on Lokta Paper will be shown at The Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Art Gallery at 417 Lafayette Street in NYC. The show is the 124th Annual Exhibition of NAWA, which runs from August 27 – September 19, 2013 The reception is Thursday, September 19th from 6-8pm.

Ms Mason will also participate in the NAWA show at the Boca Raton Museum Art School Gallery. Drawing # 22 on Lokta Paper will be shown in the “ Introspections “ exhibit, which runs from September 23, 2013 – October 18, 2013.

Contemporary artist Ellen Mason is pleased to announce the launch of her website. Ellen’s award-winning pieces will be available for viewing online, as well as a list of awards received and accomplishments. A list of her 20 years of exhibitions will be showcased on the website, showing a variety of exhibitions she has participated in galleries and museums nationwide ranging from New York City to Little Rock to Sarasota. Ellen’s artistic work deals with mark making, tension, and references to organic forms.
