2019 Silvermine Arts Center Paper Show

Tension-diptychEllen Mason was recently accepted into the 2019 Silvermine Arts Center Paper Show. Her drawing “Tension-Dyptch” was chosen by Jennifer Farrell, Associate Curator Drawings & Prints, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC.

“Tension-Dyptych” represents Mason’s experimentation with her mark making and organic forms.

The opening reception was 4-7-19 from 2pm-4pm. The show ran from 4-4-19 – 5-16-2019.

Exhibits and New Work

Ellen Mason has been busy exhibiting her work.  Deana Haggag, director of  The  Contemporary in Baltimore, Maryland accepted her work into the juried Silvermine Group show in August.

The Whistler House Museum in Lowell, MA exhibited Drawing # 31 in their Current Vision Show.

Dot Drawing #1, part of her new series of drawings will be exhibited in September at The Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Art Gallery in NYC.

Petticoat Painters, one of the oldest continuously operating women’s art groups in the U.S., recently accepted her as a member.

NAWA Exhibitions – New York, Boca Raton

Ellen Mason, who was recently accepted into the National Association of Women Artists will participate in two shows Of the organization. (NAWA)

Drawing # 24 on Lokta Paper will be shown at The Sylvia Wald & Po Kim Art Gallery at 417 Lafayette Street in NYC. The show is the 124th Annual Exhibition of NAWA, which runs from August 27 – September 19, 2013 The reception is Thursday, September 19th from 6-8pm.

Ms Mason will also participate in the NAWA show at the Boca Raton Museum Art School Gallery. Drawing # 22 on Lokta Paper will be shown in the “ Introspections “ exhibit, which runs from September 23, 2013 – October 18, 2013.
